Jonny Duddle comes to Merthyr Tydfil

Children’s illustrator and author Jonny Duddle will visit several primary schools throughout Merthyr Tydfil on the 20th of March in partnership with the Stephens & George Centenary Charitable Trust.

Jonny Duddle grew up in North Wales. Before becoming an author-illustrator, Duddle worked on board a real pirate ship and was a designer at Aardman, helping to create the characters for popular children’s film “The Pirates: In an Adventure with Scientists.”

This year, he was also one of the official World Book Day authors with the book ‘A Pirate’s Guide to Landlubbing.

As part of the Trust’s campaign to improve literacy levels in the local area, Jonny Duddle will visit several primary schools in Merthyr Tydfil discussing his work career to date, his latest books and the art of illustration.

Duddle will give children the opportunity to see some of his latest books and there’ll be plenty of fun activities for the children too.
